Enabling critical projects
The COVID-19 pandemic will lead to permanent changes in the way we live, work, and play. We believe that the best way to respond is to embrace it and take the opportunity to build a better world.
Our mission
We exist to increase the coordination needed to build the physical infrastructures and cultural habits required for a more resilient world.
Through our global network, we coordinate organizations and projects across missions and scales to maximize their impact.

Our focus
We’re supporting and connecting projects to share learnings, increase clarity, discover new strategies, and enable the partnerships they need to be successful.
Our efforts are focused on the following mission areas:
Emotional support
Enabling free emotional support to vulnerable populations affected by COVID-19.
We are connecting organizations offering free emotional support to people affected by the current crisis through a centralized searchable emotional support directory. We’ve enrolled a mission coordinator to support organization leaders to learn and share best practices and to establish a community of practice. We are launching a unified PR campaign to raise awareness of all of these organizations’ services.
Food security
Increasing demand for regional, regenerative food systems.
Food systems are fragile, including in developed countries, not because of lack of production but because the transportation, storage/aggregation, and processing links in supply chains are easily disrupted and because normal farming practices degrade the soil and ecology on which farming depends. There is growing consciousness of the need to improve our food system and supply chains, and a growing signal that the worst of the food crisis is yet to come.
At this stage, we are talking to experts to deepen our understanding of the opportunities to support regional, regenerative food systems before we intervene.
Community Asset Ownership
Combating wealth consolidation and increasing commons asset ownership.
We’re anticipating a significant drop in property values in the US, and potentially globally, over the next 2-3 years due to loss of income and small business bankruptcies. This is likely to lead to further consolidation of wealth, as those with available capital seize the opportunity to gobble up cheap assets.
We are developing a potential counter-strategy focusing on increasing community and cooperative home and business asset ownership.
Establishing a new narrative
Supporting creative storytelling that moves us toward more resilient systems.
Narrative is useful for helping us discover new values and social possibilities and for creating a cultural memory that helps us implement those discoveries over time. We are working with storytellers, creatives and strategists, around the world to make sure the most important stories get told.
We are currently drafting a narrative thesis related to our missions and engaging media creatives to contribute. If you are interested in participating, please get in touch and send us your portfolio.
